PANCE STUDY PLAN

My PANCE study plan will span 3 weeks and include a general review and focused studying on my weaker areas. I will utilize the NCCPA blueprint as well as my previous exam results to determine weaker areas to begin with. I plan to structure my studying based on daily pomodoro sessions of 2 hours per session (25/25/25/25/30 break). I plan to study 9-5pm Monday through Friday with a break for lunch each day. Each Friday will include a full length practice exam to evaluate weak areas for the next week to focus on. Below is an outline:

Some additions/clarifications to the plan:

  • I will not be starting with a full length exam, rather I will be using the results from end of curriculum (in addition to the PACKRAT) results to guide the first week of studying, as those exams showed similar areas of weakness.
  • I am currently doing around 60 questions a day during rotations, so while that is studying, I am not including that in the plan as it is not focused daily studying like the time I plan to devote to the PANCE. This study plan will occur surrounding the dates of the PANCE review (week one will be the week prior, while weeks 2 and 3 will be the week following since those dates have now been confirmed).
  • Each pomodoro session at the beginning of the day will consist of practice questions, whether from Rosh, Kaplan, etc. They will be targeted to the area specified for that day. I am not assigning a set number as I prefer to focus on the pomodoro method timeframe, however I will limit the time for each question to 1 minute or less.
  • I will devote the other sessions of the day to reviewing missed questions from the first session as well as reviewing the topics I missed on the questions. I will then retake the questions I missed a second time immediately after reviewing to solidify the information I learned.
